First A Million Voices college graduates

A Million Voices was founded in 2007 with a core aim to support children in reaching their dreams. To provide them with a safe space to believe in a future without limitations, and a support system that allows them to grow while having their back no matter what.

As part of our scholarship program, we have, together with our donors and partners, ensured the scholars service provision in the form of i.e. school meals, school transportation, medical and mental health support, youth development training, and individual follow-ups. The true champions, however, are the students themselves.

They have battled through difficult living situations, yearly calamities in the form of typhoons, flooding and fires, a crippling pandemic, often overcrowded classrooms in intense heat, just to mention some obstacles. Yet, they have persevered – with the result being that all of our current scholars are now in college.

This year, we celebrate a massive milestone:

Three scholars – who all joined in 2010 – became the first to complete the scholarship program and graduate from college. We could not be prouder of them as they’ve completed their degrees in IT, teaching and tourism management.

While we may not be a big organization, to us quality will always triumph quantity. This has allowed us to follow the scholars’ journeys as they’ve grown from children to young adults, being there with them every step of the way.

As we congratulate these bright, young minds, we also want to send a big thank you to their sponsors, as well as corporate donors and partners Boldr and G Travel Norge. Together, we’ve truly made a difference!
