• Projects: Our office is located in Arendal, Norway, which is run by volunteers. From 2009 until 2020, the projects were implemented by our local office, A Million Voices Philippines. However, since the pandemic projects have been coordinated through Philippine based local partners. The projects are initiated in identified communities in the capital, and our current scholarship program has been running since  2009.
• Key elements: Local ownership and involvement are two of the keys to project-success, and we focus greatly on these factors. The organization and projects follow a contribution policy, where beneficiaries have their own set of responsibilities in order to part-take in any project, as well as having a say through e.g. parent groups and annual evaluations. This thus makes it more of a collaboration.
• Focus areas: One of our primary concerns is to contribute to enhanced self-confidence and capacity building among the beneficiaries, to ensure sustainability and avoid dependability.  Our projects are built on the pillars of knowledge, livelihood, health and protection. 

We believe that it only takes one voice to disrupt silence; only one person to end the cycle of poverty!
