AMV + the Hove Festival = Succes
It has become tradition by now for A Million Voices to represent with volunteers at the most spectacular festival event in Europe – the yearly Hove Festival in Arendal in Norway. This year was no exception – and once again the volunteers from the organization did their outmost in the festival’s “skjenkeband tent”.
The designated tent was responsible for providing wristbands to persons over the age of 18 years, and all AMV volunteers handled their assigned tasks with great care. Organization leader Charlotte Johansen herself was team leader at the tent, together with co-team leader Audun Omdal, and enjoyed every single moment spent with the devoted volunteers.
The festival kicked-off June 26th and lasted until June 29th, but as early as the 24th of June a dedicated team of AMV volunteers were on duty. Through their hard work, the volunteers were not just helping to ensure that the festival’s wristband section ran smoothly, but they also got to experience the festival’s concerts and activities with their free festival passes. Not only that, but as a great bonus they also ensured that kr 1000 were donated to A Million Voices for each set of helping hands in gratitude of their assistance.
All in all a total of 42 people from all across the globe signed up through A Million Voices to make a difference! Some nations represented were the Philippines, Germany, France, the USA, and Zambia – and of course Norway.

We would like to send out a sincere ‘thank you’ to all the volunteers who participated! We are truly grateful for the volunteering rendered, and hope to see all again next year!
