Health is wealth – and both physical and mental health is of top priority. With our support in this area, we hope to directly and/or indirectly contribute to improved physical, mental, emotional and social health of scholars.
MEDICAL
To ensure the well-being of our scholars, we provide medical support. This could be anything from annual health check-ups to medicine, specialist appointments, and dental work.
EDUCATIONAL
Health related educational seminars is an important preventative step. Examples of topics for sessions could be nutrition, hygiene measures, first-aid and adolescent sexuality reproductive health.
MOVEMENT
Moving is good for both mind and body. Additionally, through a team sport it also creates unity, camaraderie and boosts self-confidence. Basketball, futsal and football are all popular among our scholars.
EMOTIONAL
Emotional support can have a profound impact on a person’s life, and makes it easier to cope with challenges. A strengthened network is key, such as between peers and parent/child, as well as emotional awareness.
