PROTECTION
Feeling safe and secure is fundamental to well-being. One of our focus areas is therefore to protect our students, as well as their family members. This could be related to emergencies, family situations or personal issues.
INDIVIDUAL FOLLOW-UP
Every child and youth that is part of our scholarship program, receives individual support when the need should arise. We believe in quality over quantity, and thus make sure that there are sufficient resources to give proper support to scholars in need.
RESPONSIBLE PARENTING
In order to guide parents, there are courses in parent positive discipline aimed at teaching parents methods that help the children succeed using positive reinforcement techniques. There are also seminars on parent rights and responsibilities, as well as children’s rights.
EMPOWERMENT
Child empowerment is key to ensuring that they are aware of their rights and what to do in the event of any right’s violations. Youth may participate in lessons on children’s rights, as well as join for celebrations of child rights and advocacy.
EMERGENCY
Emergencies can occur at any time, and unfortunately too frequently in the Philippines. In the event of fire, earthquake, flooding or typhoon, we provide emergency relief support and on occasion, such as food, clothing and/or re-construction of homes lost.
